eCommerce Site Design

Project Summary
After making minor updates to a bigger site, the Client wanted to create a new business and needed an eCommerce based template. He asked me to design and develop the theme (template), and also setup the entire WordPress site with various plugins and configurations.

The theme needed to be compatible with the WooCommerce plugin for WordPress. I’ve worked with this plugin many times before and found it very easy to adapt into an original design.

The skills I needed to accomplish this include HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, WordPress, WooCommerce, and Photoshop. Because this was an eCommerce based site, the sales flow had to remain friction-less.

This theme and site features an original design, home blog feed, newsletter form, home page slider, custom styled cart plugin, mobile responsive view, shareable single products, and customized sidebars based on page/section.

We encountered no problems while developing this website.

More About This Project

Initially I had a section on the home page displaying products. The client decided to remove this and the about me section. We replaced the about me section with the MailChimp newsletter form.

This is actually a child theme of Twenty Ten – the default WordPress theme shipped with the earliest version in 2010.
